Glyn Kerry Groves has been living on the Costa Blanca for quite a few years and as such has been performing all over
the Marina Baixa area both as a solo performer and as part of a group. His new group ‘Luces Cuadro have just secured a regular spot on Thursday nights at The Cave (La Cueva) which is situated on Poniente Beach at the end of Calle Heime Primero.
The night itself will take the form of an ‘Open Acoustic Mike Night’ which basically means anyone is invited to go along and listen and maybe even join in with the band performing.
The show starts at around 23.00 and goes on well into the early hours and promises to be a laid back and friendly atmosphere with the prospect of some of the finest musicians along the Costa Blanca all strutting their stuff and generally enjoying themselves whilst making music.
So, all you budding musicians looking for an evening of good music where you can get involved, get yourselves down to The Cave, see Glyn Kerry Groves and join in the fun.
Tina Majors has been wowing audiences across the Costa Blanca for a few years now and as such has gained a reputation with both locals and holiday makers alike, they come back to see her perform time after time.
I saw her in her ‘Tribute to the Divas’ show and heard songs from Celine Dion, Cher, Whitney Houston and Tina Turner to name but a few. This is a show worth seeing as it has that feel good factor about it. The audience were joining in and loving every minute.
Tina grew up in a suburb of Nottingham and whilst chatting with her we discovered we both played for the same Band namely the Eric Pemberton Big Band which went on to become the Colin Cox Orchestra which goes to show what a small world we actually live in
Over the years Tina has worked with many stars including Charlie Williams, Bernard Manning and Jane McDonald and has been involved in numerous Radio and TV shows.
In addition to her Divas show, Tina also has show which is dedicated to Celine Dion.
Next time you can’t decide which show to see take a tip from me and go along and enjoy the magic of Tina Majors.
