Sandras Cabaret Bar on Calle Lepanto between Champions and The Town is a place full of talent: Singers like Asa Elliot and Nikki Miller; Comedians like Gary George and Mike Curtis; even bar staff and waiters like Mo and Lorenzo are part of the entertainment.

In June 2009 we were totally knocked out by their latest acquisition, exclusive to Sandras, Welsh singer and comedienne Wendy Kane. Wendy apparently did four weeks there in Summer 2008. She is so outstanding that she has now become a permanent fixture.

We really don’t know what to say to praise her highly enough. Think of comedians like Marti Kane, comedy actresses like Julie Walters. Funny ladies with a local ring like Pam Ayres, (Wendy is to Wales what Pam is to the West Country). Vulgar but feminine acts like Joan Rivers. Think of female comedians who are also musically talented like Victoria Wood. This leads us on to her singing. She comes from the same part of Wales, and she belts out those songs with the same power and passion, yes, we are talking about Shirley Bassey.

If you want to see your favourite comedienne and singer all rolled into one, don’t go anywhere else, go and see Wendy Kane at Sandras.
